IEEE Region 3 Student Technical Paper Contest

* Submission DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 01,2007 *

The IEEE Region 3 Student Technical Paper competition is held annually in conjunction with IEEE SoutheastCon.

About The Student Software Competition

The student software competition challenges small teams of students to solve a set of programming problems in a limited amount of time. The specific software problems are not announced until the start of the competition.

The IEEE SoutheastCon 2007 student software competition will be hosted off site in a computer lab at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Engineering. The VCU School of Engineering is located at 601 West Main Street, Richmond, Virginia 23284. (The building is thirteen city blocks or approximately one mile from the Richmond Marriott.)

The IEEE SoutheastCon 2007 Student Software Competition Rules are modeled after the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest.

Student Branch Web Site Contest

All IEEE Student Branches and IEEE Student Branch Chapters are eligible for the web site contest.

IEEE Student Ethics Competition

* Entry DEADLINE: MARCH 01, 2007 *

Sponsored by the IEEE Ethics & Member Conduct Committee, the IEEE Student Ethics Competition was developed for use at IEEE student events to encourage the study of professional ethics by IEEE undergraduate and graduate student members. The competition involves teams of students presenting and defending a case analysis.

The entry deadline for the IEEE Student Ethics Competition is 01-March-2007.

IEEE Region 3 T-Shirt Contest

IEEE SoutheastCon 2007 Student Program Subcommittee

The student program subcommittee is responsible for all aspects of the student program. This committee will act as a liaison with the host student branch(es). This committee is responsible for making sure the student hardware, software, and paper competitions are properly managed.
